Just a heads up to anyone who attempted to get this deal:

Couple of weeks ago, Staples offered a rebate on Netgear - but a 5 port hub and 2 NIC cards for $80, and get a $60 rebate.

So I filled out my forms and sent it in. I got my e-mail from Staples, and said I had been approved for the $19.99 rebate. Checked the form, and the form that Staples printed out for me was a buy a hub, get a card free deal. SNEAKY! I should have read the form closely to make sure it was the same offer, but I didn't expect that.

I have sent an e-mail to Staples rebates, waiting for a response. Fortunately, I have copies of everything, including the original ad. But still, I think I have a battle on my hands.

When I got the same deal last time ,2 rebates forms came out of the register, one for $60 and one for $19! I use the one for $60 and got my rebate aproved! You probably sent the other one.

Staples is the best to deal with rebates!

Hmm -

didn't read the form, sent it in anyway.

Didn't read the rules, posted anyway.

Is there a pattern emerging?

I sent both of them in, and Staples seems to have accepted both of them....

I sent in upc copies for the 2nd rebate, and I bought from B&M where the rebate forms were printed out on the reciept.

Yeah, scratch that. I checked online, and it turns out the 19.99 rebate is invalid because lack of original UPC's.

I also had my $60 rebate validated and my $19.99 rebate rejected. BBUUTT, the rejection also stated that I could fax them my UPC. So I faxed them a copy of my UPC and now that rebate has been ok'ed also.:)

If nothing else, it's worth a try as it worked for me.

Got my $20 rebate for the 4port hub, but they rejected the $10 rebate for 1 nic card. They said it was invalid because it's only 1 rebate per household. Had to send 3 emails explaining the obvious. The hub and nic card are different products with different rebate amounts. First 2 emails didn't work, so when logic, reason, patience and respect fail..... become an @sshole and threaten them. When I emailed the https (ftc.gov etc) yesterday from the thread about rebate scams, this morning they said:

Thank you for your rebate inquiry. You are a valued Staples consumer,
so we are pleased to inform you that we have updated your record
as a one-time courtesy. Your rebate submission is now valid.
Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your rebate. Note that the
check is remitted in the form of a postcard and will not arrive
in an envelope.

I have 9 rebates with Staples. All have been approved or already sent. I don't know what the problem with the Netgear stuff is. Good luck to all. I STILL HATE REBATES but will use them when I can.

I sent both the $60 and the $19.99 NEtgear rebates and the $19.99 NIC rebate got rejected due to a UPC copy as I expected it would. I called the Staples rebate center and told them I sent the original to a a companion rebate offer and they promptly validated my rebate on the phone. That was about two weeks ago. I received the both $60 and the $19.99 in the mail today. :)
