Staples Easy Rebate--Calling Hot Deal guru's

This Q is for you hot deal guru's... I exchanged a notebook for another one because it was defective, now I have a new rebate ID numbers, one of them worked on the site (older number), the new one (the one with the exchange) didn't... they say it will take 4-6 wks to verify/process the rebate. Is there any chance that this will not verify b/c of the exchange and that I'm using the old rebate number which in their system might be marked as returned? Thanks for any advice

This is coming from someone with over a hundred Staples Easy Rebates done (me):

Use the new one. If it does not validate within a week, call the number on the reciept. They are very nice people, which has made Staples my favorite company.

cool, sounds like a plan... I also figured that the new one would be the one to work, but maybe their system is messed up right now, I'll give it a week like you say and try again. Thanks for the heads up.
