Pretty good deal for a daily user. Throw in a GFX card and it wouldn't be too bad for most stuff. Nice find op.

basically every big name PC has a mATX board these days so probably so.

This. Especially when you look at the size of that unit. Also note the GeForce 6150, which is typical of a lot of micro boards. 100% certain that board is a micro.

How the hell is this a good deal at all.. what's wrong with you.. i'm angry.. thanks for nothing..

Yea i'm a prik

it also only has 2 dimm slots.

which kind of sucks since 1 is a 2gb dimm and 1 is a 1gb dimm since it has 3gb. no one makes ATX boards with only 2 slots.

if i was going to just use this as an htpc, i'd get a radeon 3450/4350 etc and just pull some of the ram out.

FYI, this is a decent computer for what it is but it wouldn't boot when I tried to install my 7600GT video card so not sure what exactly it will take for a video card.

It's a little weird that it doesn't come with Gigabit Ethernet... I thought that's been standard on most motherboards for years at this point.

Perfect for someone with an LCD and old WinXP machine.

Exactly what I did in January for my home computer. It's a fine box for regular daily use, including some moderate gaming. To upgrade to most video cards you'll probably need to upgrade the PSU as well.

BTW this is now clearance, no rainchecks. Smae price I paid in January. Staples has been running a sale on this model (or very similar ones) roughly once a month now, and it was on sale last week so may be hard to find.

Odds are they will replace it with a box with indentical specs except a slightly faster CPU. That's what they did in Jan.

Desktops on sale these days are few and far between.

I'll be setting one up today. I'm sure the customer will appreciate the extra ummmph over their P4 with 512mb of ram and XP.

I bought this PC for my son (to replace a p4 3.0 machine). I threw in an ATI HD4670 card ($40) and it runs most everything fine. He is bigtime into Valve games (HL2, Garry's Mod, L4D2, etc.) It just flies through these games at high settings.

It is incredible what you can get for $300 these days. My first PC (in 1996) cost $3500. For that, I got the whopping speed of a Pentium 150 Mhz, which I promptly overclocked to 166 Mhz.

No complaints about this PC at this price.
