The monitor is already $160 this week, use a $30 coupon and get a $30 rebate for a $100 total.

CDR looks yummy... Anyone know Imation's quality? Anyway, I'd be interested in looking for a coupon to make it free... maybe adding some FREE AR items.

Yes, I can vouch for Imation's quality. I have literally used HUNDREDS of Imation CD's on my Sony CDRW 12X/8X/32X drive. I have made very few bad discs, usually less than 1 in a spindle of 50. I have used them to make audio and data CD's and they play in every drive I have tried.

<< - NEC 17" CRT- ($180)$160- $30 coupon- $30 mir= $100 sku 430698 >>

I just got this monitor for my grandmother using this same deal last week. It's perfect for her after using an ancient 14". The screen isn't as sharp as it could be, but for $100 it would make an excellent back up monitor or for someone who isn't as descriminating (a/k/a my grandmother :))

I haven't run any games on it, but it does 1024x768 at 85Hz just fine and it's done its job as far as browsing/word processing.

i dont know about that pacific digital drive..
i bought a pacific digital packaged cdrw 32x-10x-40x from Fry's for $89 no hassling iwth rebates..
after installation it is actually the BTC BCE-3212IM
BTC's newest drive.. which is a very good drive as it will support the latest reading scheme for the upcoming or current clone cd to read copy protected cds..

<< Olli has just updated the hardware requirements for CloneCD, and one of the changes is when it comes to "Correct EFM encoding..."

Now there is 3 different categories:

**= Drive writes regular bit patterns correctly.
*= Drive writes regular bit patterns almost correctly.
= Drive does not write regular bit patterns correctly.

And the good news is that LTR-24102B and LTR-16102B support the best mode, I also think the LTR-32123S support it but it's not on the list yet.

And the other woohoo is that none of the plextors support this!!! That explains why they have problems with Safedisc 2.51.21!!! (Yes I know that it works in some cases, and the backup works in some drives but not all, but it's till not a perfect copy!).

Here is the other drives that supports this mode:

Asus CRW-1610A
BTC BCE-3212IM
Sony CR-X175A1
Sony CR-X185E3
Toshiba SD-R1202

Looks like sony is also a good choice, but as you could see there is not many drives supporting this at all!!!!!!

A BIG thumbs up to Lite-on and the other drives supporting this
>>

i dont think the drive with this pacific digital 32x-12x-48x at staples is the same btc drive.. cause if u look at the btcusa.com site.. they dont have a cdrw with those cdrw and read speed..
