Yeeessss@!! My HD is now shipped! Due 2/20. I really wish all of you going for the PM and coupon combo all the luck in the world, but I figured the $50 was good enough. Lost another deal last week because I sat around for a day to think about it - when will I ever learn??

Anyway, I ordered online. No probs w/ the $30 off $100 coupon. My HD now shows shipped due Tuesday. Unfortunately they don't seem to have been able to get the paper clips shipped. Aaaaawwwww. Do you suppose they've run out of stock on paper clips?

Out of stock now on the drive. I ordered over the phone before (tried to get the attache case also, but a no go on that). He said it won't get here until the 26th. 🙁 (My local wherehouse is out of them) Oh well... I'm actually not to sure about the price match. If the site it already sold out, I doubt stores will have them on Sunday. Here's hoping!

Two different CSR's told me that corporate has told them that they are not pricematching to the 2 day In store only sale. And they refused to add the attache for .01, told me it was a website error and they had pulled it. Oh well, I guess we are back to our old motto: Staples is Suck!

I went to B&M Staples... got the drive..monitor...modem..cd-rom... and used the 30 off 150 🙂 I used one of the coupon codes from techbargains... just told the cashier the #... she said "how much was the coupon for" 🙂 sweet

I ordered pencils and the HD. And the invoice for the pencils said "Your drive will arrive (no later than) 02/22" Maybe it didn't have the part in parenthesis, I am not sure.

Apparently, B&M stores will honor the online coupons ASSUMING you can print them out the source of the coupon (I don't think techie site will count). So does anyone know where that 30 off 100 coupon came from?

This looks like a great deal. I see the $30 off $100 coupon from TechBargains, and I see the $50 off coupon from Maxtor for buying the drive and the controller card. I'm just now looking in the Staples circular and I see a mention of a $30 Staples mail in rebate. I assume that means a rebate for buying the Maxtor drive @ staples, correct? If so, where can I get this coupon? Do I have to go to the B&amp;M store or is it available online for print-out?

Also, is the consensus that Staples online will pricematch their B&amp;M prices or not? Because the online price is still $99 but in the circular it says $79. Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions, I'm itching to pick this drive up. 😉

Had NO PROBLEMS PMing Staples.com at the B &amp; M - did it 4 TIMES THIS WEEKEND, at 3 different stores - picked up a free Wingman each time.

Was able to go back to the 20 GB Maxtor I bought on the 5th!

Then I used the coupon to bring the price down to $70.00
Some people said that the price for the HDD for Sunday and Monday only is $79.99
How do I make a pricematch for it ???
I heard that the price of $79.99 is only for B&amp;M.
Would Staples PM its own OUT-OF-STATE B&amp;M?

1. The BM price IS $80 Sun. &amp; Mon.
2. Staples WILL NOT PM their online to BM. Online remains $100. The BM price is an incentive to bring people into the BM only.
3. The best deal (what you did) is online: Add 1 cent to hit $100, use $30 off coupon, net cost $70. After sending for $20 MIR- final cost is $50.
4. Anyone getting the drive might as well get the ATA/100 controller card and get the $50 rebate on it. Controller card can be found at STAPLES or COMP USA for $50. The card rebate is possible ONLY for those who also purchased a 20GIG HD. Purchase of card DOES NOT have to be at the same store. But purchase of card and HD must both be within the rebate time window. Staples has already confirmed that they will accept a COPY of the UPC from the HD since 2 different rebates are involved. Send ORIGINALS to Maxtor for the $50 card rebate; copies to Staples for the HD rebate. HD must be purchased at Staples; card may be purchased anywhere.
5. If you are sending in a separate order to Staples for the card, add 1 cent to hit $50 for free shipping. You may also want to add other free things if you like free things. Such as these $8 PENS which will be free by entering code 88794 on your order. Never mind the fact that it says you must buy 2 packs to get one free... as long as your order includes the pens (1 pack) AND exceeds $24, the code will cause the pens to ring up free.

man, staples is screwed up sometimes. i tried to do a pricematch and use one of the 40 of 200 coupons. i went on-line in the store and printed out what i wanted to order with the coupon discount. then i asked them to pricematch and the manager comes back and says that i can either use the coupon or the pricematch, not both. wtf? i know this is bs because they say nothing about not being allowed to use coupons and pricematching together. i've actually done it over the phone before. anyone have any ideas?
