Staples credit card POS breach?

Just a shot in the dark but: anyone who is using Windows XP on their POS?

Food for thought: Taco Bell is doing it right. They try to stay away from the Windows platform altogether. Even their office computers mostly run a form of Linux and Thunderbird for an e-mail client.
