Staples Coupon Codes at B&M

I went to Staples try to work a good deal I found on an earlier post.
The deal was a Kodak DC3200 and free scanner for ~$60-$70 after MIRs and Staples Coupon Codes.

However, when I gave them a coupon code, the won't accept without a printout or some kind of proof that the code works for brick and mortar stores too. They said that they have different codes for online and B&M stores. They said that they will take $40 of $200 if I find something off the web proving the discount. Okay. Anyone has experience using coupon codes at brick and mortar stores?

I also would appreciate if anyone knows where I can get a printout with the staples logo and an indication it works at B&M stores.

Thanks

its true, there are differenet coupons for B&M and staples....if they let you use a coupon for online at th store, the store takes the loss. the coupons that you can use at the store are accepted because they get reimbursed. you can buy the product online at the store using online coupons and pay at the store.

i tried also to use a online code at a B&M... they wouldn't take it... said something about not taking any codes that start with a 9...but that they would take codes that start w/ a 1....so i'm gonna go find one that starts with a 1....

It seems depending on the store you are going. I know in some cases they don't even take the 1... codes if you don't have the orignal copy of coupon email.

I used a "9" coupon today for the DC3200 deal, no problem. However I've tried before at the same store without success. Luck of the draw I guess.

Just completed the deal earlier today. Got the Kodak 3200 and the scanner. I got bumped up to a HP Scanjet 3200C since they were out of the original scanner. Paid $80 after rebate. :D

Staples honors coupons that were emailed to you, sent you on a postcard, or that come from a catalog.

recently I made a purchase at staples using the 25 off 75 coupon code went through at the time but the email I got confirming the order said I didn't use the right dividend$ number, since I didn't use any dividend$ number didn't know what to make of that, when I got my cc bill showed full price so I guess they didn't accept the coupon from me, so how do I get on the list for some of the coupons they send out

WHEN I BUY FROM STAPLES ONLINE I ALLWAYS PRINT COPY OF INVOICE. THIS WAY IF THE TRY TO CHARGE ME LATER I CAN REFUSE TO PAY IT THRU MY CREDITCARD COMPANY. HAVEN'T HAD TO DO THIS YET AFTER 5-6 ONLINE BUYS. THEY ALLWAYS ACCEPT THE CODES ONLINE BUT NOT ALL THE TIME AT THE STORE. I GOT THE KODIAK CAMERA 199-40 AT B+M WITH THE VISIONEER 4400 USB SCANNER FREE AFTER REBATES. TOTAL FOR ME WAS $95 AFTER REBATES SINCE THE UPGRADED SCANNER WOULD HAVE COST ME $15 ANYWAY.

I just checked my order history at Staples for my current account. I have placed eight orders, all with coupon codes and two with online price matches; this included three orders for HDs and two for CD-RW drives. All eight orders were accepted at the time they were placed but only one was ever shipped and received -- the PM against Crucial for a 256Meg PC133 stick of RAM with a $30 coupon. The others all showed "processing" indefinitely and were eventually cancelled. The odds of that happening on 7 out of 8 orders has got to be very low, so I assume they do not fill most orders in which a PM and a code or a code alone makes it too unprofitable for them. I would have preferred to get the stuff I was ordering, but I can't get too upset at them for looking out for their interests either. Now and then I am lucky -- that's enough to keep me in the game.

Nice GumbySucks, I got the same deal!! Bought the Kodak 3200 digicam for $199 and a three pak write out for $3.59 at the Staples B&B online store computer, plus I used the $40 off $200. Total price + tax $163. I paid at the register and Pricematch with Best Buy advertised price for digicam for $179.98 and got the Visioneer 4400usb for free. Total out the door price is $150. $50 mir for digicam, $30+$30 mir for the scanner. Total cost after rebate = $40!!!!

Nice move MasterR. That was just what I was going to suggest. Go to the B&M, order online with their computer, so you can use the codes, then pay at the register (where you can do your pricematch as well). With a Kodak deal like that, I might have to go tie up some of my funds.

LOL Gustavus - You and I must be using a totally different Staples than everyone else. I have placed 10 orders using coupons, 3 of those with PM's. None of the ones with the PM's went through. Of the remaining 7, I actually received 3. Two of those 3 were screwed up and had to be shipped back. 1 in 10 - I ask you, what are the odds??? Only reason I keep trying is all the great deals everyone else keeps getting.

can i do an order through staples.com in the B&M store, print it out to pay there with a coupon (the 40 of 200 one), and still then do a pricematch? they wouldn't let me just give them a coupon code, so will this work? thanks

Can you guys please explain how this works? So you go to the store and you order using the online computer. Let's say the total is 200 and you use a 40 coupon to bring you down to 160. Then you take it to the register and they say "160 + tax please" and you are like "NO! I want to pricematch". Well then doesn't this heavily confuse the cashier? Furthermore, wouldn't pricematching bring you down below the $40 coupon below the 200 dollar requirement? I know this works as you guys have done it already, but can you explain the process?

Misery loves company. It is clear from your post that you and I are dealing with the same Staples. I don't know how all of these other guys are getting the deals they report -- but I keep trying anyway. Who knows -- I might get lucky someday.
