Staples.com Black Friday Question

160GB HDD for $40.

It is $140 - $25 Instant, $40 Coupon and $35 Easy Rebate.

The Coupon code is live and working. The Easy Rebate is good for anytime on the 26th. Does anyone know then the Instant rebate will go live? I am under the impression that it will be 6AM local time. Is that correct? I'm thinking about calling in my order at 6:01 Central Time to avoid any wierd priceing issues.

Any help is greatly appriciated..

Maxtor, 7200RPM, 8MB cache.

EDIT: Their website seems to have slowed to a crawl...

EDIT: I tried it again, readding the HDD to my cart, and the Instant rebate is still not showing up.

A bunch of people on FW are ordering at 12:01AM local time online. They can't get the Instant Rebate to work, but are going to call later in the day to have it applied to their order.
I think I'll play it safe and order at 6:00 local time.

FYI ... I wanted the DVD burner (sku 575690) . As of 1:45am EST, most items do not come up with the "instant savings" deduction, but this is a $50 off coupon (specific to this item) that appears on the description, and that applied without a problem. If I waited until 6am, it would be $10 less ("instant savings" should be $60, not $50) ... but I'm happier not waiting outside the store for 2 hours, or sitting at PC at 5:59am hoping to beat the other bargain hunters. The pdf for the $30 rebate says nothing about time-of-day limits ..
Just letting folks know this option in case you want both the DVD burner and a decent night's sleep -- that's what I opted for !

hmm.

All the items I want from that list dont show up with the instant savings on the website. I dont wanna order just yet to be safe.

I am wondering if it will start at 6am EST or 6am PST - at least on the website?

Staples.com is SOOO SLOOOW. 1-800-3Staple is busy.
I keep on getting vb script and asp errors. I started the buying process an hour ago. So much for going back to bed.

Me to. I started at 5:55 and haven't finished. All coupon codes don't work and they have the wrong rebate up for Systemworks Premier...

I havn't successfuly submited yet but I was able to enter in the dvd-+rw and HHD coupon codes just fine. Now I just need the submit button to work. ARG!

Their website refused both that rebate and a $20 off $150 I have. Im in the queue to talk to a CSR now.

I have been sitting on hold waiting for a customer rep for about 45-50 minutes...sigh. If I had gone to the store at 6am I would have been home about an hour ago, all done.

Ordered the DVDRW, hdd, wireless router and a nic at 12:20 am, no instant savings showed up. Printed off all the pages showing them just in case. (BTW they have changed the pages since!)

Just got off the phone with a very nice rep at Staples. Confirmed that she and all the rest are getting hammered.

Took about 40 mins on hold and 20 minutes with her but my order is all straightened out and due to be shipped.

Lot better sitting here at the pc on hold (And getting everything I wanted.) then standing in the snow at 5am...

CYA all.

Rob

I ordered the 160GB HD, $9.99 AR PNY 256MB USB Drive, free AR remote, free AR Shredder and the free AR power strip.

These rebates better come in.
