Democracy is dead here but deals may not be.
20 80min 16x cdr - imation - black - with some kind of special pen for writing on the black.
$5.50.
In slim jewel cases. 25 cents per disc w/ case ain't bad.
There were other deals but not as interesting to me.
As always, ymmv.

I saw this yesterday at the Staples in New Hampshire.
Got a printer cart for $10. Considering I was heading there to
buy a printer cart I got a great deal.

I just posted about photo paper for $3.99 at Big Lots and I got it at the one at Cap Circle & Apalachee Pkwy.

I didn't know there were so many Tally Anandtechers. Rats! More of us to have to share the goodies. I expect to see you all standing in line waiting for the next really good deal that comes around. :D

WTG! I just love deals where they pay you to take the merchandise.

That's funny. I tend to think of this as such a backwater...
But hey, Staples has two stores here; they and Compusa are the backbone of so many posts...
And we should all chip in an put up a commemorative plaque honoring the riot at Best Buy last T-day for the GF3-ti200.

They're only a block away from where I'm working right now. I'll swing by after work.

I wonder how they'll react to me walking in with my CompUSA uniform on?

Edit: Bah, wrong staples. I'm not going all the way over there.

Now it's moved to the N. Monroe station. Most of the junk seems leftover from the (now defunct?) clearance on Appalachee.
BUT there are some interesting items:
SPecifically: GPS attachment for Palm 3 for $9 (nine) dollars!
and the same thing for Palm 5 for $19 (nineteen) dollars!
Would it be worth it to buy a palm to get these deals?

Also pci USB-1 2-port card for $19
and a mess of absurdly cheap burners, especially some portable ones about 50% off.
All very tempting to me, but I've gotta save for a new CPU.... gotta save for a new CPU... repeat as necessary...

Sorry, I was in a hurry to get home to put my son to bed, so I didn't take exact notes.
But the one that struck me most was an $80 external 16x drive. Plus your usual assortment of internal crap
that Compusa seems to be womping the competition on w/ their bundled- and not-bundled half-time specials.
But all of it was 32x min.

Oh, also, they had a firewire pci card for about $20.
Didn't recognize the brand, but that's increasingly common these days, what with rebadging, fly-by-nighters, and DBAs.

Cheapest internal clearance burner I saw this afternoon was in the $60 range. The Cendyne for $59.99 less $30 rebate not on clearance was a better price unless some of the clearance ones had rebates too that I don't know about. Did get two of the Palm III GPS for $9.50. Don't see a SKU on this, just UPC 070609521831. Rand McNally Streetfinder GPS. Thanks greendonuts2!

I just got back from staples, been getting some awesome clerance stuff. Anyway, I got one of the office depot 80gig 5400 hard drives for $47.99. Went to a local staples and the manager didnt even question and bought 2 more, went to the next staples and the manager said it was supposed to be on instock items. I was like well the last manager didnt say anything and she said ok. I bought 3 more and the clerk about died. Never really thought about all the great deals until I actually went and looked. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that post thses deals. Later
