That 120 Meg Maxtor is good price. It will be even better with the $20 off $100 that I just got. ;) I just picked one of these a week or two ago for $109. I guess it is time to upgrade the RAID again. :)

Page 2: "Canon 4" x 6" glossy photo paper plus" It's $13, but buy one get one free. Awesome deal for Canon photo printer users (like me). Thanks!

Actually why do they market it like that? It sounds like you get a 20GB drive free with the 100GB. I know it's just one drive, but why can't they just say 120GB instead of 100GB + 20G?

Never have understood what the deal is with the bonus.

Looks like the two deals worth considering are: Systemworks 2003 (FAR for current owners, maybe make a few bucks with the 10 off 40 that I just got in the e-mail), and the 120GB drive for $80 (with the 20 off 100) plus tax on $120.

Are those Sony 40x CDRs any good? This Sony 40x burner that I got a while back is real picky and even TY Fuji 40x disks burns at like 16x. So I ended up getting a 40x burner to only burn at 16x. Note that I get all the speed options in Nero and Alcohol 120%, but it doesn't matter what I pick, 40x burn speed or max speed it still takes like 7 minutes to burn image to CD. Alcohol 120 tells me during burning how fast it's burning and it like stays around 16x and lower. I've heard that these Sony 40x CRX195a1 burners are real picky with media and if it detects not such a good media it will automatically reduce its speed to make sure it does a good burn job. But those were TY disks! So I figure maybe Sony disks will work right with Sony drive eh?

I got Sony CDR's from Staples a few months ago and my identifier program said they were the same manufacturer as used for some Imations I had sitting around, Ritek I think (not sure).

If the burning speed bothers you, I'd suggest a new burner. Even top quality ones are dirt cheap these days.

Lol, this is a new burner, and it's pretty top quality. But it appears to be real picky about media. It's also flahsable to 48x I hear. Only got it like 5 months ago.

Could you stack the 20 off 100 and the 10 off 40? The drive is $139.98 before the $40 MIR. Pick up a pack of gum and get it over $140. So say $140-$40MIR-$20off100-$10off40 = ~$70+tax.

Good luck. (In other words: "No, unless you use your Jedi Persuasion.") :)

GAACK !!
The first thing I saw after I clicked through were USB cables for $20. I bought a bunch a year ago for $6@. How can they advertise this as a sale ?
/edit - and as far as a 120GB HD goes - just got one, $10+tx after rebates (which they are honoring).
