I was just at staples, and they had a table, with these combo spindles (with a handle on top). 50 CD-R and 50 DVD-R, all in one package, for $10.

Seems like a warm deal to me, there haven't been that many good sales on discs, and the heydays of free-after-rebate media are long gone, I think.

Staples also has quite a few items for either $1 or $2 in their flyer this week. Including, 5-pack Sharpie fine-point markers, pens, mechanical pencils, envelopes, tapes, and scissors.

Picked up this same combo (HP blue CDRs and red DVD-Rs) around Christmas. Not the greatest media in the world, but still a great deal.

i just got back from there. they also have $10 and $20 logitech webcams, $15 ms webcams, $10 fax machines, $50 brother laserprinters, cordless mice, cheap gps and cameras etc...

...and 10 hp flashdrives 4 gig and 15 sandisk 8gig

These have been on sale for this price (or near it) since at least December. I picked up some a while back and was pretty disappointed in them. Only used the DVDs so far, but at least a third of the ones I burnt were coasters-and any other brand I get maybe 1% coasters.

Plus their packaging is incredibly cheap-no cake box, the CDs/DVDs are held together by the exterior paper. The paper gets wrecked pretty easily. Fortunately I had a couple of old cake boxes around.
