SKU 488960 - doesn't come-up online. Looks like it may be an "in-store only" special.

There's also a pricematch opportunity against OfficeMax - if they have the Cendyne in stock.

Okay - I've read this ad about ten times and it looks to me like it says:

Buy Win XP Pro upgrade for $179.94 and get:

Kbyte 256MB PC memory free AR
Memorex 48X cd-rw free AR
Memorex 50pk music cd-rs free AR
Memorex cd label kit free AR
Memorex 50pk jewel cases free AR

Coupon usage could cut total by $50. (Not sure if there is a valid $50 out there. The one I see at a lot of sites comes up expired.)

Am I reading this wrong? Is it only one of the Memorex products instead of all four?

EDIT : This prices below are XP PRO purchases only. XP home has higher prices for the package deals.

I have the paper ad. major question is whether the upgrades can be used or just full editions. Doesn't say one way or the other.

You can get K-byte 256mb memory with XP pro purchase for free.
-----------------
The other deals appear to be package deals.

You can get an HP camera and printer (489614, 489428) for $349 plus cost of XP.
-----------------
The memorex stuff is free with XP purchase.
495519 cd-rw
453982 50 cdr
375354 labelmaker
489574 jewel cases.

It says after $20 rebate, so all the memorex stuff might only be worth $20 toward coupon use. We'll have to see how they put it all on the website.
-----------------

Last deal is $39 plus XP purchase
you get
494299 wired base station
494301 usb adapter
494297 pci adapter
494296 ethernet notebook adapter

Doesn't say anything about rebates. I guess that stuff is just $39 if you buy XP.

Again it's not clear if the upgrade editions are eligible.

There's also some strange fine print about proof of ownership of earlier windows editions. Not sure what that's about or whether it matters.

that's a poopload of rebates. The XP pro deal is an allright deal. Upgrdae is worth like 100-110 bucks, burner like 40, cases labeler 15, and the ram 20.

Actually there isn't alot of rebates involved.

MAJOR UPDATE TO MY ABOVE POST!

It appears thatthe prices in my above post refers to XP PRO.

If you get the home edition, the camera package becomes $399, the Memorex
package becomes $49 plus cost of XP home, the networking package becomes $89 plus XP home.

The prices are lower if you buy with XP pro rather than XP home. Deal is not quite as hot now.
