I was curious if staples had put up next weeks ad on their instorespecials.staples.com site, which they have apparently haven't. However I think I found the images for next weeks ad just by modifying the image URLs in this week's ad.

Just as a note, I think these ads are region specific as in the example URL below

http://images.saleshound.com/smartc...geimages/staples/Large/020317_1_B_0_R13_1.jpg

The R#_1 seems to produce different ad layouts. I think if you check your existing ads URL's you can see what region you are.

The first set of numbers is of course the starting date.
The second number is the page number.
The third one (after the B) I have no idea.
The forth after the R is I believe a region number.
The fifth number I also have no idea.

WOW! Page 13 has 2 cubic feet of packing peanuts for only (?) $5.98.

I wonder if I can Ebay the many cubic feet of packing stuff sitting in my garage from all the deals?

Wow, this is a blazing hot deal going on in the Albany, NY area and possibly other areas if y'all are lucky:
128mb pc100/pc133 = $50 after $10 Mail in Rebate! Incredible. If only we could price match this or find some free after rebate items and apply a coupon! Oh wait, are there still those $10 of $40 coupons, that would make this a scalding hot deal for $40 after MIR. </sarcasm>

If you missed out on the Visioneer 8100 scanner deal - They have ARTEC e+48U SCANNER for $19.94 after $50MIR. 479363 Compatible w/98/2000/Me/xp .

Well you won't get me to buy themt. I bought a bunch of these on eBay before and they got trashed in shipping and I didn't insure them :-(

Is this scanner better than the Visioneer 8100? This is 48-bit and the 8100 is 42-bit. That's the only difference I saw without going into the detail spec.

The scanner is using CIS technology. That means it look like Canon, get power from USB (very low power), with most of the co. use Cold cathode technology (use extra power cord, need time to warm up for prescan, and until its warm up, no good result)
CIS is like an array of LED, no need to warm up, scan faster than cathode light. But the draw back is not good for scaning (3-D) object. You can only scan flat image close to the surface (mag., photo, etc. No scan of keys or Can that cathode light can do).

I bought a Artec when this technology first come out (4 yr ago??) (Canon may be the second co to use such tech.), back then its 30-bit. It was well for 2 months and when i let a friend to use it for 1 months (travel out of country), she broke it... don't know why, the scan will have straight line of mis-color thro it.
Too bad its a hassel to repair back then (in Hong Kong) and i do not let it repair. Just throw it away.

I think i will give it a try if it close to Canon 's scan quality. I like Canon's one because it is so slim and good, quick result.

I had a Microtek CIS-based scanner a couple years ago... horrendous, worst scans I'd ever seen. If it hadn't been free w/MIR, it would've gone back after i saw the first scan.

Has anyone got any experience with that C-Pen 600C that they'll be selling? It's on page 5.

It's normally $150, but it's got a $50 rebate. Toss in a $30 off $150 coupon and it's only $70.

Seems like a great deal to me, but it would be helpful to get some AT'ers opinions on this one.
