Not quite.

There are $25 off $100 and $25 off $75 coupons that still work.

What i need is a lead on something that has a good rebate and isn't the MS encarta or publishing or the speak and write thing. Something else.

Any ideas?

Everybody should really check his or her credit card transactions. To make a long story short, Staples charged me the full amount. I called them and the CS said only one coupon was allowed whatsoever. I told them that when I placed the order on the phone, they took all coupons and even quoted me the final cost. No matter, she said. I asked for the supervisor and she was more agreeable; but she said that for future reference, only one coupon can be applied regardless of the nature of the coupons or rebates. I asked her specifically: Does that mean one cannot combine a dollar-off coupon with a manufacturer's rebate? Her answer was yes, it means that you cannot combine the dollar off coupon with a manufacturer's rebate. Sounds counter-intuitive to me, but she was nice and did promise to credit my CC. But I thought people here might want to double check the charges themselves.

"Not valid with any other offer."

I think most compaines do it this way, unless you find something special..

<< As usual check you creditcard charges. Staples overcharged me by not taking of the coupon >>

Same here. I've ordered three times. All three times, they took the code and gave me the discount online, and on the printed invoice that was in the package I received, but the cash register receipt stapled to the printed invoice showed the whole amount on two of the orders, and the third order showed the discount. My credit card statement agreed with the register receipts, not the invoices. I had called them (a story unto itself) and was assured that my credit card would be billed the lower invoice amount. Apparently, that is untrue.

Perfect use for an ecount or webcertificate. Even if Staples tries to bill me later or at the time of order they can't, so I sleep easy. My packages just arrived today btw, after placing an order on Monday... yesterday. Talk about quick delivery. Two large boxes, one had my $25 48x memorex cd-rom and the other.... had a small roll of electrical tape. I'm glad I don't have stock in this company...

I have skipped all staples.com deals ever since "The Incident" and I have not regretted my decision. I seriously think that we should file some sort of compliant against this company. A printed web-receipt should be just as valid as the one that you get from the store.. If my credit card was charged more than the reciept at the store, think how pissed you would be. Now in the case where the CSR QUOTED the price and they came back on it, well I would think lawsuit, because it is not a "computer glitch" or whatever.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhh! I just got my credit card statement and it has me paying full price for Quake 3. I called this order in and the guy even quoted me a price around $27. I only used one coupon too. *sigh*..I just sent an email about it and will have to see what their response is. God, Staples really is suck :(
