How did you manage to get the Sharp LCD for $90. Help me follow the Math...Thx.

12%, 50.00 ER, 100 MIR (from Sharp), and some instant rebate, i forgot the amount

it came out to be 240 after Instant rebate and 12% and 8.75% tax
mail in the 50ER, and 100 MIR

Picked the LCD up. I also recommend getting some FAR items and then using the 12% off to make the deal a little sweeter. They had a power strip and a fax/modem. My total was 263 OTD - $75 ER -$100 Sharp rebate = $88

Just called expressgroup (as the $100 rebate indicates) and they state that Staples isn't an authorized retailer. Has anyone found out differently?

Look a couple of posts above, somebody at FW says it is. Although just looking over at FW, this might not work. You might be right that Staples is not approved.

I just called also and they also told me that it is not a qualified vendor. I would be hesitant about buying this LCD based on the $100 rebate.

you and me both. i've had enough problems with rebates of smaller amounts. even though someone on FW says otherwise, i'm very sceptical.

After reading this thread, I was all prepped to head to Staples after church on Sunday. They had plenty of the 4600 scanners left. I couldnt' find the Linksys Wireless B router, but one of the empmloyees said they ran out of shelf space and they had 2 behind the counter. I snagged one. The 12% coupon worked great with no questions. Thanks! Now, if that extra Linksys B rebate will work, I just make $20 off the router!

You *picked it up*??? I was going to get this but decided against it when I couldn't lift it more than 2öff theground! Humping it up to a 2nd floor apt? I think not... 🙂 Probably a good thing -- not really suitable for media & photos.

Thanks OP -- last 2 wireless mice, last 4 surge protectors, and a fistful of calculators accompanied the cheapo speakers (hiss is present but tolerable for $15). Got a spool load of paper to process for the ERs now though.

The 12% coupon is for vendors like microsoft employees only that get special deals since the need them more than normal customers and they will not honor this coupon to customers that actually pay there bills, they said it was gotten a hold of by somebody at fat wallet and its not their fault, in the black on the top is says vendor coupon, not for vendors only.......

Actually, it can. There are only a few things that this 12% discount does not apply to:

Desktop/Laptop Computers
Gift/Cash/Prepaid Cellular Cards
Postage Stamps and Shipping Fees

Sharp has issues, Staples has been a qualified Sharp vendor from day one.

In addition to the $40 easy rebate and the extra $30 easy rebate that's available for this Linksys wireless-b router, there also seems to be a $20 manufacturer's rebate for the router available on Circuit City's website:

linky

So you can possibly make a little more $ on this here dealio.

🙂

ok, i know coupon codes are verbotten on this site, but what about posting a link to a site where Staples $15 off $100 & $20 off $150 codes are available? would that fly?

thanks 🙂

Media safes are DARN expensive, even a small little file media safe runs over $500 I believe. Trying to keep the insides cool enough for media to survive is tough. Firesafes are only rated to keep them at a temperature lower than where paper begins to burn (350 degrees and paper I think is like 370 or 380).

"Pick up" might be a bit of a misnomer. 😉 I'm pretty beefy and had a beefy employee help me get it in the backseat of my car. Something about kneeling on the car seat and leaning out to lift by the straps going around the cardboard I don't think was exactly proper lifting technique, but with me taking that end and him outside the other, got it in ok. Recruited a guy to help me get it out, and then used a dolly to haul it up the stairs. That part was kind of a pain, but not that bad.

You don't want a safe someone can easily pick up. 😀 After I finish adding another 50-100 pounds to the interior, it isn't going anywhere.

All in all, final price was OVER 40% under the cheapest price you see without a rebate. That makes that firesafe a really HOT deal. <pardon the pun> I also like the fact that if there's ever a fire, they'll replace the safe for free.

The Staples DVD's are only about $.16 each @ $8 for a 50 spindle. They are CMC and will burn up to 12x on my NEC 3500 even though they are labeled 8X.
DVD-R Media Code: CMC MAG AE1

I probably use these for archival stuff, but they are prob adequate for movies, videos, slide shows, etc.

ooh, couldn't resist. I bought the Maxtor 200gb 7200rpm hd in-store.

My local staples didn't have the special running on the 200gb hd, only the 250gb one, but I showed them the print out of the hd from staples.com and they discounted the $30, plus I was able to use the 12% off customer appreciation coupon with no problems. After tax I got the hard drive for $94, now I just have to wait for the $30 easy rebate to bring it down to $64! 🙂

I wanted to get the Creative Nomad Zen Xtra they had on sale, but I forgot to take the 12% off coupon with me. When I couldn't find it in my purse, I told the clerk I had the Customer Appreciation coupon but must have left it home, so I would come back later. He said not to worry about it and gave me the 12% off anyway! 😀

Dumb question:

The following burner: I/O DVD Burner

is showing an online coupon savings code for $30 off and then and additional $30 via rebate. If you purchase this drive in the store, are you able to get the coupon savings discount? I was under the impression the 19th Anniversary wasn't an online thing but not sure how to apply an online code to an in-store purchase.

Any idea?

Where do you find the "extra $30 easy rebate"?

Disregard my dumb question....code online for the $30 off and it just becomes an "instant savings" thing for in-store purchases. Hope they still have some and that I can use the 12% off.
