built a new pc..specs in sig

when i press standbye, it goes into standbye just fine but it wont come out of stanbye..well no video anyway

the pc fans turn back on, but nothing onscreen and my mouse/keyboard doenst light up

so what exactly effects this...is it the mobo?
i switched my ram around.....what if i put them into sockets B instead of A??
does any other driver besides video effect this?..anything, its killn me

i have to fix this cuz i love standbye especially for games cause i can alt/tab out and go back later instantly without having to load everything.

I don't know what the problem is, but I would tend to suspect that it is the motherboard's bios. Have you checked with Asus to see if there is an update?

Check the chipset drivers... they might not be initiating the wake-up command to the components.

Check for the latest OS patches (I think I heard of some issue with SP2 that was resolved through a patch)

How are you putting the computer into standby, and how are you bringing it out? Keyboard to send it to sleep and power button on the case to bring it out?

Also, RAM will not affect this problem in any way so you can leave the sticks in their proper slots.
