This is stupid, I can't get my pc to enter Standby mode in WinME? Is there a bug or anything?? If there is, patch?? I'm a host in internet sharing at home. When nobody is accessing their pc in the network, it still won't go into standby mode?? Why?
 
No way I can do it?? Sure? I mean even if I'm the only one with the PC on and the rest are off and there's no activity of internet or networking??
 
If the machine is the host for an ICS setup, it won't go into standby because it is being used as a network resource by the other computers. Even if the other machines are idle, they still have an active network connection to the host. If you put this machine into standby, the other machines will lose net connectivity.
 
how come you use standbye? why don't you just shut the computer down! either that, or you should leave it on running rc5 or seti@home!
