Standalone DVD players with DVI output

I had a Samsung HD-941 player that I liked. The picture quality was exceptional, and it was supposed to upconvert to 720p/1080i, which, while I didn't have anything to really compare it to, but the image quality was very good. Much better than that of the Xbox and PS2 that I was used to (but since I wasn't doing progressive out of them, I'm not sure if the upconversion was really doing much). It actually has HDMI out, but it came with an HDMI to DVI adapter cable.

Upconversion, depending on how it is done, can do quite a bit to the image quality. Some people dislike some of the ailising and such that can be introduced with upconversion; but if you are running a HD or even an ED display then the video either gets upconverted at the display if not before it. So whether or not it will look better just comes down to how good of a job the display does compared to how good the DVD player is at doing it, and that really comes down to your own opinion of the effect of each.

I don't rightly know enough about standalone DVD players to recomend anything in particular though as I do all my DVD playback though a HTPC.
