I've had problems with my Philips 642. The first one just quit within a year. The next one I got still plays. But the digital auto doesn't work anymore. I had to switch to the analog audio ;( Divx on DVD is the way to go though. I usually can fit 6 movies on one DVD. Quality is still where my wife can't tell the differance.
