A problem with the "Stand by" mode...
I was using my old computer (an 450MHz K6-2 with Soyo 5EMA+), and when I press the power button it went to the stand by mode... I used this feature several times before, without any problem, hit any key or move the mouse and voila! Windows (98 second edition) and everything was there, just as I left before pressing the power button. Fine...
But the last time I did it, the computer simply didn't "wake up", so I hit the reset button, but it couldn't reboot... Well, then I got to the "prompt only" mode, and realised that half of the HD content wasn't there! It was deleted! :-o
I had to reinstall everything...
Anyone had this problem? How did you fix it? Can I use the "stand by" mode with my new motherboard (Asus A7V rev1.02 1005a BIOS)?
