Stalker Clear Sky footage here

Yes that's the Freedom base from Shadow of Chernobyl, but let's not forget that Clear Sky is set about a year or two before the events of SoC, so who knows who's base that place is now in Clear Sky (at least when the game starts). As for the graphics, awesome, absolutely brilliant, and I noticed a good number of changes in the actual base's props/entities/objects and various placement of buildings, it really gives the feeling that it does take place a year before SoC.

The place looks a little more "destroyed" and ruined than in Shadow of Chernobyl. For instance, you can clearly see in that video at some point that one of the sniper tower is torn apart and fell to the ground. But that very same tower in SoC is clean and is standing solid with a sniper on it, surely giving the illusion that Freedom did their best to repair what little was left to repair from those ruins to re-secure the base as their stronghold. It's details like that that makes GSC GameWorld my new favorite FPS developer since last year.

Oh man. I cannot frickin' WAIT! Love to get me some more STALKER. This is #2 on my 2008 Must-Buy list, trailing only anything Valve releases (which I'm not expecting, but hey...I can hope...)

Definitely need to debug that shadow issue though, for sure.

WOW the graphics look amazing! For me personally, I'd go as far as to say they look better than Crysis on High (and probably alot more playable). Cannot wait to give this game a go, from that short video it looks like they have once again got the 'setting' right, and I'd place my bets on the 'atmosphere' of Clear Sky being spot on too...that was what made Stalker my game of the year. Just imagine Float32 for Clear sky aswell 🙂🙂.

Wow I am not as impressed as the rest of you. Do I think it looks good? Yes. Will I probably buy this game? YEs..i liked the first. I catn really tell how good it looks since nothing is high res screenshots or video. I also don't think it looks better than crysis or that it will look better at release but I am sure it will look very good.

Wow those kind of lighting effects could lead to some genuinely chilling and spooky moments, especially if applied to more survival-horror games.
i think i just got the shivers thinking about the possibilities. Games will continue to creep me out at times (horror/survival/thriller) until I feel like I have complete control of the character.. aka VR. Until then, I feel powerless and hate it, because I can do so much more with my body in real life than I ever could with a mouse-controlled character limited to a very narrow field of view. Damn hardware limitations. Fix this. Would love playing a survival horror game in VR. I'd love the rush and it would be so much easier for me to get through some scenes so much faster.

Dunno about being better looking than Crysis, but they certainly look great! 🙂
