stainless farmhouse sink Edit: Copper?

We are looking for one that is not deep. It seems they are all 9" or 10" and I'm not interested in digging any deeper into the sink than it is now at 6".
I will lose another 1" with the undermount but we may raise our counters to 37"+ to help with that.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Edit: now I am looking at copper. Anybody have experience with copper sinks?

They make wire racks and stuff to raise the "work area" at the bottom of the sink.

A true "farmhouse" sink is made from soapstone. (And it wouldn't seem that impossible to order a custom reduced depth soapstone sink)

The modern, "apron" sinks exist because the big, deep sink has a certain "wife approval" factor. A taller countertop with a smaller apron would seem to limit resale. (I'm a tall guy, so I get some of that pain from reaching down into a sink when I load the dishwasher...but I wouldn't do that to my sink and countertop)

The resale factor does not impact our decision in the least. Since I do all the work, I can simply put it lower if the time every came.
I can build the cabinets with a plug in them I can remove.
We have been here 19 years now so it is not much of an issue.

I like the look and the lack of that sliver of counter in front of it. I don't like bending over to get things out of the bottom of it. I had hopes somebody had a line on a shallower one.
I re-measured the current sink, it is 6.5 deep on a 36 countertop, so 29.5 off the floor.
A 10" farm sink under a 37 is going to be 26 under 1" granite.
If I could find an 8" deep sink I'd be happy.

Cool. It seems a typical person is more short term

This seems close:

The apron is only 6 11/16" high

Here are som really pricey 8" bowl depth apron sinks:

Thanks. That Kohler in the 60/40 was the best I could find at 9 5/16" depth.
The Kraus at amazon is about 60% and only 11/16" deeper. It has great reviews too.

Those custom sinks are crazy high! I can see maybe 1500 for a copper single basin but 3 grand for a stainless?
I am going to put some formica skinned MDF (that I already have) on top of our counters and shim it up and down for the next few weeks to come up with our ideal counter height.
Then I can proceed with the build. I just got back from the cabinet shop. My wife is liking maple.
I liked light hickory but it is harder to work with and not as durable as maple.
They quoted me a 16x26 plain shaker in maple for $31, drilled for euro hinges. They sell me the hinges dirt cheap on their volume.
The paint shop they use will do conversion coat for ~$12 a door/drawer front.
They also sell me the maple S2S straightlined, right out of the same lot for about 60% of what I can get it for rough. S2S straightlined saves me a ton of time on the face frames.

wife was skeptical of the look of copper. Home Depot had a cheap undermount she could look at and touch. She likes it!
This opens up some possibilities.

I love copper. 20 years ago, I wanted a copper tile backsplash...nobody sold anything like that. Now, they finally do.

Copper is durable, it's anti-microbial, it can develop a wonderful patina... But I'm not sure I could do a sink. I would be afraid that great "living finish" would spend too much time in the awkward, phases.

they "patinize" it for you. Check it out. hit the order button and you have 4 choices of finishes. None are paints or varnishes, just a combination of heat and/or chemical to rapidly get it to the desired color. I spent a while on the phone with a CSR.
The darkest finish is most popular, but it will brighten some if you don't wax it about once a month. The others stay about the same regardless. High acid foods will brighten it up.
Don't leave a lemon in your sink overnight. you can leave a message with ketchup 😛
It will go back after a while though.

Thread update and some questions. We got a custom made copper sink from this company.

Now I'm looking for a fixture. Probably will be oil rubbed bronze or antique copper to go with the sink. We like the pull out spray option.

I've never had one of the spring mounted fixtures, does anybody have experience with them?
