Given how close the previous election was (despite Kemp overseeing his own election), and how much voter drive she can pull, I think the odds are solidly in her favor

In a perfect world she would be a slam dunk in her bid for governor. But again, republicans will play their "funny games" with the election and cheat her out of what should be a huge win. Yes Virginia, we do indeed have voter suppression and stolen elections, however it is the republicans who are doing this not the democrats. In fact, the 2022 steal has already begun with right wing media claiming that the new covid variant is only to ensure increased mail-in-balloting for the 2022 election, and everyone knows what that means.... increased mail-in equals corrupted elections.

See how they are? They have already made an untruth into a perceived truth. The perceived corruption of the mail-in-ballot system. You must hand it to republicans, they are quite skilled at turning an outright lie into a presumed truth.

With the new voter laws in Georgia and the ability of the legislature to decide against or for any given candidate it's a slam dunk that Abrams will have the election stolen from her again. I hate the politics in my state, but at least I don't live in Florida or Texas. I honestly wish I had enough money to move out of the United States.

Even if she does win ... it would not make a difference for the 2022 U.S. House or Senate elections, because they will happen on the same year as the gubernatorial election. Further more, I think Kemp would gain advantage by talking to his supporters of a claim about CRT would be introduced in school if Abram was to become governor. It worked in Virginia, so I do not see why it would not work in Georgia. Further more, we are not sure if Kemp is going to be the Republican Primary winner for the Gubernatorial race, as there is a chance that Trump would like to have someone else as the governor of Georgia.

If you don't mind me asking.....where in the state are you? Personally, I grew up in Augusta (mid-1950's thru 1972), left and moved back twice....most recently from Cape Cod in 2013 to Abbeville, SC and then out of there to Hartwell, GA in 2014.....couldn't stand the fucked up roads in SC, not to mention the authoritarian/anti-female bent the state has. (Wife had to produce divorce papers from her first marriage and marriage cert. from our marriage to get a driver's license because she had the audacity to marry and change her name.....the only fucking state either of us have encountered to do that shit. Neither MA nor GA do that stupid shit. Just another way conservatives try to control women. Marriage has no effect upon men in this respect.....married, divorced, whatever.)

Re: Stacy Adams.....she's guaranteed to lose. Fulton County's election board will be replaced by the Gov. with handpicked "unbiased" representatives chosen by the legislature, thereby causing thousands of votes cast to be denied/thrown out.....but only those for Adams.

"If you don't mind me asking.....where in the state are you?" I live in a very small township called Metcalf. It's about 10 miles south of Thomasville, which is pretty much where I grew up and have spent most of my life. I live two miles from the Florida line and about 25 miles from Tallahassee, Florida.

I know Thomasville.....LOL! Metcalf looks to be mostly a TV station and a logging operation. Glad you're not too far from a large town/city in Tallahassee.

Free and fair elections seems to be a really big problem for the Repubs what with all the blatant nefarious attempts at getting around that hallmark of democracy.

It's really sad to see how the Repub party is systematically dismantling the very foundations of how we select our leaders in order to deny the majority of the nation their just due, a ploy of theirs that speaks to tyranny, treason and rebellion against the very principals they, in such a twisted deceitful manner, claim to defend with their very lives.

This stuff infuriates me so much. Republicans are really just doing an updated Southern Strategy to stoke suburban white racial animosity and it's fucking working. Trump came along and the GOP decided they didn't need to be subtle about being the racist party anymore, they just went all out in the open with it.

All I know is that I am about to be inundated by information that the Anti-Christ has appeared and to be on the look out for a Southern Black woman.

They should tie voting constraints to buying gun constraints. See how Georgia republicans get along with that.

Not really a TV station here, but we do have 3 of the tallest TV towers in the world. Only a TV tower in Dubai and one between Boulder and Denver are taller than the WCTV.tv tower. Some base jumpers got into some serious trouble trespassing to jump off the WCTV tower at night. Unfortunately for one of them he was cut in half on the way down by one of the guide wires. They found half his body in one place and the rest some distance away. Base jumping off a tower like that at night is especially stupid. All of these towers are within 5 miles from my house on a not too busy road and I like to ride my bike down this road. The towers look pretty cool actually.
