Stable SDR board for basic TBird system? Onboard sound preferable. (No Iwill, please)

I'm going to RMA the KK266 back to Iwill. They want $124 to advance ship one. Well, for prolly $40 less, I can buy a nice board. Hence this post. I'd like to have OB sound, but that's not mandatory. If I can't find something I like with OB sound, I'm going with the Abit KT7E. I have a SB16 I'll just slap in there. The GF will finally have a rig with a real (AGP!) videocard. The V3 PCI is nice, but just can't compare to today's AGP cards. Thanks guys and gals. :)

Why the Abit KT7E and not the KT7A? The A has the KT133A chipset which is currently the king of PC133. plus you can get the KT7A in a version with your beloved RAID on it. :) That's my advice anyway...

NelsonMuntz, you're just all over it, man! After I posted this thread, I did some surfing and believe it or not, I found my mobo, the KT7R for $85! I'll keep quiet about where (PM me if you wanna know) b/c she hasn't ordered yet. This is the way I'm going. Her's is a surfing, simple gaming rig. She doesn't know 16 and 32 bit color or refresh rates or multiplier or anything else. She plays UT, believe it or not. I do have a cool GF, that's for sure. But mostly surfs and emails. No OC for her.

I know the KT7R inside and out. I've personally played with every Bios setting (that's a whole lot of fiddling!) just to see "what this thing does". Naturally, I've had to do lots of CMOS resetting, but that is part of the learning process! LOL! I"m gonna go w/this board and just give her my SB16 card. Being that she'll be buying an MX vidcard, I'll be getting my beloved Vooodoo 3 back. Back into the box for storage it goes. Thanks and have a nice evening.

Asus A7V133a is the best KT133A board, along with KK266-R. The "a" version has on-board sound. Stable, High Performing board.
