I've been reading a few PSU threads and noticed that all of the supposed "good" PSU's are all around 200 dollars. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a "good" PSU around 50.

I ask because I have a 400w and a 7900GTX and everytime I turn on my PC it tells me that the GFX has been toned down to prevent PC lockups. However, all of my games shut off 10 minutes in and the 400w was the minimum requirment for this VC.

Specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester 2.2GHz Socket 939
Video: 6800GT AGP
RAM: GeIL Value 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel
Mobo: ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 Socket 939 ULi M1695 ATX AMD
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 320GB
Monitor: BenQ FP93GX Black 19" 2ms LCD
Power: FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX400-PN, RoHS, 12cm FAN, version 2.0, 2 SATA, 20+ 4 pin, PCI Express, 400W

Hows this?

However, if the 50w difference will promise to fix the power issue, I'll go with the better company.

Well, first we are going to have to know your specs, and what PSU you are using now... But if you are currently having issues with a PSU, and you are using a single 7900GTX, then it can't be that good of a PSU... Or it might be defective as well.

Never heard of Enhance. Are they a trustworthy company? I will spend up to 70 if it means I wont have any more system crashes 5 minutes into everygame due to power issues.

review... this is the review of the 5140gh, which is the 400w version of the enhance PSU i linked above, also available on ewiz for even cheaper. either of these should be enough for any single GPU system. i've got it powering my x1900xtx (see rig in sig) and i haven't had any issues.
