I have an eVGA GeForce 7800 GT CO that is factory overclocked to 470 MHz that is showing some bad video artifacts when playing Lost Via Domus. The artifacts start appearing after 5 mins of play and get progressively worse, causing the program to freeze and eventually crash. It could just be a bug in the game, but I want to try and rule that out. My system specs are ASUS A8N-SLI Premium, Opteron 165 @ 2.64 GHz (292 fsb), AC Freezer 64 Pro, 2Gb OCZ PC3200 EL Plat XTC @ 239 MHz (on 3:4 divider)
I suspect it may be my forceware drivers, and have tried ver 169.21, 169.28, and 174.16 but no difference. Is there a stable "gold standard" forceware driver for the geforce 7 series cards that I should try? Even though my system is StressPrime stable for 24 hrs, I did try lowering my FSB within windows using Clockgen. I'll try rebooting at stock cpu speed and see what happens. Could it be my PCI-Express setting in bios? I noticed it is still set at 100 MHz but don't know what this means...
