Stable AM3

Looking for a solid AM3 motherboard for which I'll be doing a bit of everything, including gaming. I have no intention of going crossfire in the foreseeable future. If possible, I'd also like a board that people can attest to higher RAM compatibility.

I was considering this board although I have no issue spending more money:

ASUS M4A77TD AM3 AMD 770

Background:

Phenom II 955 BE
GTX 460
Windows 7 64-bit

I'm having a number of issues with my GA-870A-UD3 motherboard including a "network cable unplugged" cycle. This eventually continued even after applying Arctic Silver 5 to both the north and southbridge heatsinks. I realize that there is a separate Realtek chip on the board, but was dealing with possible other issues. I'll also mention the board isn't compatible with A-Data (1600) RAM (although Mushkin seems fine).

I had built a system with that board for my mother and no issues at all. Mind you she is not using in the way that you are planning, but from what i can tell I can't for see any issues with it

I put 2 sticks of kingston valueram in it.

I'm not necessarily swearing off Gigabyte here, all manufacturers will have their issues. Nevertheless, this is the second mobo due to an RMA on the first (also for RAM and AHCI issues).
