Hi all. I got my system up and running.
Opt 175 @ 2.6 1.42v
2 x 1gb OCZ Platinum PC3200
300 GB Seagate IDE
520 Powerstream
7800 GTX ACS3 (stock)

This is my testing setup until my x-Navigator and 6 high cfm fans come in (hope they make a differerence). It is now in my lanboy. Stock hsf, later si-120.

My main question is what chouls I use to test fo stability.
So far im using SP2004. Want to dual prime but can find the link to download it.

For Graphics Im using the RTBAl something like that and 3dmark05.

Ram memtest.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Also any good monitoring sofeware?
MBM5?
SpeedFan?

Thanks

This is a good site for benchies

Stress Prime 2004 - this in my eyes is alot better then prime. It uses the same iterations to stress test but provides a better GUI, also you can open up two instances and just set untick the "no affinity" option, then select cpu0 and cpu1 to test both the cores (using both the windows that are open at the same time).

MBM5 - I believe this to be a more thorough application against speed fan however they are both good apps

memtest x86 definitely the best memory testing application out, but be sure to use the bootable version, as this tests the whole capacity of the RAM, unlike the windows version which only tests the available memory which could in some cases only be half of the physical capacity.

I'm currently trying how to figure out how to test the stability of my Opteron 170. I tried SuperPi by setting the affinities in taskmanager, which seemed to have worked.

I also tried the SP2004. I copied and pasted the file, named one SP2004_1, and the other SP2004_2. Then I did the affinity method in program, setting one to 0 and one to 1, and then unclicking "No Affinitiy"... but when I check in task manager it still shows both affinities for SP2004_1 and SP2004_2... any clue why?
