I have a P4 2.4 C1 stepping(retail) ...I am running it at 160 fsb on IT7 Max2 Rev2 mobo which seems to undervolt by 0.25v
I got the chip Emyar he had it running 164 fsb at 1.7v stable overnight with Prime 95..used Albatron mobo..not sure of the ram

P4 2.4@2.88 @160fsb 1.6v bios...1.57/1.58v in Hardware monitor that came with abit mobo
case temp is 38
cpu idle 47 and load was 55
Stock HSF with AS2

PLEASE NOTE I think this board is giving hi temps...in same case with kr7a...the case temps were 28-30c
Crucial PC2100 2.7v cas 2.5-2-6-2...at cas2 it crashes
I have no idea in 4 way interleaving is on BIOS has no setting for this

I just NOLF2 for about 30 min no issues...tried Prime 95 and it immed fails with an error

I am just running basic stuff

WinXP Pro
radeon 9700
Aureal Vortex 2 pci card..3-4 yrs old and sounds very nice...and it works in winxp pro
onboard LAN
onboard Firewire
usb2
HDD Maxtor 80 DX740 on serial ata with adapter

I realize 3D games are not as CPU intensive as Prime 95...but i am sure I am near max speed for this ram so is it the ram or cpu that is crashing Prime95

Should I just bump vcore or lower cas setting to 2.5-3-6-3 and try prime

I should note I did try 1.625v last night and prime failed on first try with same ram setting and 160fsb
I am very surprised NOLF2 ran OK..at least early levels on my AMD setup if I moved too high it would crash anywhere from 5 min to 30 min
But with Prime 95 failing so fast I thought for sure NOLF2 would crash too

All I really want is stability in WinXP Pro running my apps..word, video editing, 3D games, burning....so what do you recommend

I am not going over 1.7v and would prefer to stay at 1.65v or less
