I have a Canon S30 and whenever I connect to my computer I would like to be able to access the photos on my microdrive as it was just another hard drive.

I have it configured on another one of my XP machines but I can't seem to duplicate it again as I don't really remember how I did it the last time. Anyone know what I am talking about and can help me out?

Thanks

I did try that...i was thinking that it might be some hidden XP feature that I have to enable.

this may sound dumb-- but maybe the camera isnt turned on or plugged in all the way.

it should pop up as a drive right away, no extra drivers needed IIRC

I actually had a similar problem with my Kodak. I couldn't access it as a regular HD, it kept saying it wasn't connected. Using the Kodak software didn't work either. But if you fire up the Scanner+Camera Wizard for XP that might work. (Thats the only way I can connect to mine in XP now)

OK, I figured out what I did wrong. Instead of installing the WIA drivers, I installed the TWAIN driver. The WIA drivers allows for XP to access the camera directly, as soon as I installed the WIA drivers the Camera was given an icon.
