ST TNG: Geordi Curl?

I hear Levar's complaint that Geordi never got to be in a "real" relationship, but the same could be said of any character on the show. I think in the 80s and 90s, TV writers had a terrible fear of ever allowing anything to change. No long term romances ever.

All you got on TNG was Crusher and Picard's unresolved sexual tension (they eventually got married and divorced, but in an alternate reality), Riker bagging women left and right, Worf's baby mama who lasted one episode, and your typical one-episode flings with aliens/monsters/robots.

Of course they did finally bring in somewhat lasting relationships in DS9.

You know he tapped Leah Brahms by bending her over the warp core. (On the holodeck of course)

I think he's right. O'brien had a wife in TNG, and he was much more of a minor character. They even gave Data a gf, for fuck's sake http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Jenna_D'Sora

From what I've seen, Burton seems like a really nice down to earth guy.

In fact all of the TNG cast seems pretty cool, Brent Spiner excluded.

What's wrong with Spiner? Granted, the last I saw of him was an episode of BIg Bang Theory.

I know many people who have interacted with Gates McFadden and found her to not be the nicest person to deal with. For example, while the show was still on, I heard of a particular interaction where she acted a little self-entitled and said the dreaded, "Do you know who I am?"

Marina Sirtis is just the nicest person.
I met her years ago. We spent about twenty minutes together. She had me in stitches for half of them. Funny as hell.

I've heard the same about Spiner.

Jim Norton (Opie & Anthony) was talking about being at a party at Comic-Con a few years ago. He saw Levar Burton and Spiner across the room, and Jim wanted to talk to him about Roots. He said he tried to say something, but Levar said "hold on one second, and let us finish this mission." like he was a Trekkie wanting an autograph. Said hewas just about to murder the dude.
