What is not what I posted.

If you do not like the law change it.

However, the law is there to be obeyed until it is changed.

Do you think you have the right to selectively ignore laws and then complain if you are penalized for doing such.

Actually, what you posted "was do not complain about existing laws being enforced." Again, without complaints no changes can be made.

And yes, there is such a thing as selectively ignoring laws. I can post numerous examples dealing with slavery, jim crow laws, civil right issues, and many others. Just because something is a law does NOT mean it should be arbitrarily obeyed. Some laws are just WRONG and should never be obeyed by any intelligent and moral person. I am not referencing things like speeding laws, but those which are morally wrong. I am giving an example where your line of logic is incorrect.

I will state this, without previous civil disobedience in regards to past laws in our nation, we would not be the leader of the world country we are today.

I am not sure it will reduce crime, but I think it will help protect folks who go to bad neighborhoods to buy it. Because then they could go to a much safer place. I don't think marijuana is any worse than alcohol. It will be a little more trickier for employment, because marijuana can be in your system for a few weeks. I do think it would bring some nice revenue for the state.

St. Louis' problems are a lot bigger than pot and I doubt this would have much effect. Meth and the harder stuff seems to be a much bigger problem here. Perhaps if Slay would send cops out to do something besides generate revenue via traffic/parking tickets, we could get crime down somewhat, but parts of the city are bad enough now that the cops don't even want to go there and people don't even bother to call them anymore.
