Hello,
I need a unix type interface that gives me ssh capability so I can work on my linux box, from my windows laptop when on the road (through a phone connection). Any ideas? Thanks.

Do you have access to the internet?

Or do you wish to like dial directly into your box on the phone line you refer to.

If you use your phone connection to dial onto the internet then you can use something like.

terraterm and i've also heard putty and SecureCRT are good.

I use Terraterm myself.

I have two separate connections, one is a direct 256kbps line to the net on an 2000 machine that I would like to use it on, and second is a win98 notebook that I use a dialup connection through mindspring. I will check out terraterm and the others. Thanks for the suggestions.

I've used TeraTerm (free) and SecureCRT (not free) without problems. Both are spiffy.
