SSD upgrade for Dell Latitude D420 - part check

What do you all think about that device? It will be replacing a 30GB 4200RPM HDD. The laptop has a Core Duo U2400 chip and 2GB of RAM, I intend to run Windows 7 Home Edition on it when the hard drive is upgraded.

Kinda pricey for no faster than it is but your options are limited with that interface.

I'm not sure if I would bother upgrading a D420 at this point. It's five year old laptop at this point, and is more than ready for replacement.

I actually just got the D420. I am not a computer power user at home, I save all that for work. The D420 has all the CPU power I require, I just need more room to install Win7. I have Win7 on my Acer netbook with an N270 chip and it was ok with me - the D420 is much better.

I agree on the priciness hence me asking BEFORE I buy one. In the past I'd just jump.
