Samsung's numbers are with DIPM enabled, whereas our tests have DIPM disabled.

Wow, DIPM makes that much difference?! Why do you test with it disabled? Is there a major performance hit?

Seems like a huge benefit especially for laptops. I'd be happy to sacrifice a chunk of my SSD performance if it'll add significantly to battery life.

A quick article showing the actual battery life benefit of enabling DIPM (and any performance cost or other downsides) would be awesome, btw. Think you guys might be able to do that?

Also, how would we expect enabling DIPM to affect relative power usage? If it cuts everything down to a few hundredths of a watt, I'd imagine relative power numbers would be essentially meaningless.
