Hi,
I bought a Kingston SSD 480 gb and on the site the read and write speed are advertised as 500MB/s Read and 450MB/s Write
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01N0TQPQB/
now I installed it in my laptop and did benchmark with Crystal disk 6
All the image links and tests and BIos andd other info are in this link:
These are the benchmarks But when I copy a file say a video file from desktop and paste it on desktop the speeds are low initially thet
start at 260 MBPS for few seconds and later they gradually decreeases to 100 MBPS
I checked the speeds with an ISO and mkv file and here are the results

I ran my laptop in high performance mode.
These are my system details

I even did userbenchmark.com benchmark test and these are the results.

SOme times suddenly my ssd freezes and I had linux mint and some times my laptop also freezes and
sometimes after boot mouse suddenly wont work.
I can hear a cat like purring sound from SSD sometimes.
I hear fan like rotating noise also and I am sure it is not laptop fan.

Is my SSD normal or is my laptop bottle necking it or what is the problem?
Should I change it?
Some one please respond.

Unfortunately this is common with DRAM-less SSD's. They are fine and decently fast for smaller tasks but really bog down with large file transfers.

There's not really a newbie guide on all the SSDs out there. The key for really any computer component is to read a review on it before buying, as sometimes it can be a bad purchase based on your needs.

As far as the Crucial MX500, yes that is a very good drive. Anandtech publishes SSD buying guides usually four times a year, and they make their recommendations on which ones are good buys: https://www.anandtech.com/show/9799/best-ssds

There are so many different variations of drives out there such as DRAMless (which you bought), different controllers, different NAND, etc, so just be sure to look into your future purchases to make sure you are getting exactly what you want.

The Crucial MX500 is an excellent drive and significantly faster than that Kingston. It has a DRAM buffer and a much longer endurance rating.

Other great options are the Samsung 860 EVO, the Western Digital Blue and the Intel 545s series SSD's.

But the Crucial should be typically the cheapest and my go to drive.
