I really like the idea of caching my 1TB RAID0 array for my games install drive with a relatively small SSD. Particularly I like the NVELO solution, as I figure OEMs wouldn't use them if they weren't somewhat reliable. However, from what I've read this software will only cache a main boot drive, which is not what I'm wanting to do.

If I'm wrong about this, please someone set me straight and I'll go buy a Synapse drive.

I've seen some folks mention FancyCache (http://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/fancy-cache/index.html) as a means to do what I want to do. Anyone have experience with this software? I'm a bit cautious, as this is Beta software and I don't see a means to purchase it past the 90 day trial.

I also found a product from STEC (http://www.stec-inc.com/product/ssdcache.php), but I don't see an easy means for purchasing it, and it is marketed as an enterprise solution so it might be too much $$$.

There's also a program from Velobit, but it looks like a Beta as well.

Apparently Flashsoft has a Beta software, but again it is marketed to enterprise customers.

Anyone know of a proven, non-Beta, and commercially available software I can use on a non-OS partition?

as for the beta versions being viable?.. I've used Fancycache on and off for almost 2 years now and it's a pretty decent app.. I have lost data a couple of times now.. but that was with extreme usage and fooling with lengthy deffered writes to increase performance to absolute maximum levels.

When used in a more reserved fashion it has never given issue. I still highly recommend it and you can even ask for an extended use key if you want to keep testing/using it.
