Pakistan attack on cricket convoy

Several members of the Sri Lankan cricket team have been injured after gunmen fired on a convoy carrying cricketers in Pakistani city of Lahore.

The convoy was carrying Pakistani and Sri Lankan cricketers to a ground, which is hosting a Test match between the two sides.

Reports quoting Sri Lankan authorities say at least two Sri Lankan players were seriously injured in the incident.

Unconfirmed reports say some policemen had been killed by the shooting.

The incident happened on the road from the teams' hotel to the Gadaffi stadium, where a Test match is being held.

"It appears that our team bus was targeted on the way to the match. It appears that four of our cricketers have been injured and taken to the hospital," a Sri Lankan cricket official told an Indian TV channel from Colombo.

Wow, that is just crazy. Terrible for that country for that is the one thing most people love but that is seriously going to hinder any events they may hold for a while.
 
Today, I think we can collectively spit on all Pakistanis for the hell they have created in the neighborhood. The Sri-Lankans were doing the Pakistanis a favor by agreeing to the tour when the Indian team pulled out after the Mumbai attacks. This is how they repay them.

Strange thing is, the civilian population is relatively moderate compared to much of the Islamic world. They just don't give a sh*t that they have so many terrorists within their border (which is equally reprehensible).

I think we should declare full all out war against ALL foreign forces and anybody who challenges the writ of the government. The taliban; militant groups should all be countered with full force. If nothing is done now; there will be EVEN more civilian casualties.

Currently we are being treated like a street dog. Anybody who wants just kicks us around. First we need to accept that we are wrong. Next we should tell everyone what we are doing. Finally we should stand up to ourselves and stop acting like slaves. Oh well; atleast I'm not a jew living in Nazi Germany. Things could've been worse.

But if you're a man big enough to really change his mind, i'm all for it, i'm here to help your nation, when my help is no longer needed, i'll leave, we have no interest in Pakistan except to help you defeat the Talibans.

But the fucking deals will have to go and ISI troops that are working both sides will have to go, we can't fix THAT for you, you're going to have to do that for yourselves.

It's about as much fun as baseball, both are were invented so that girls would have something to do while the boys played football (and by football i mean real football) and rugby, same with basketball, also a girls game.

LOL. I was running up a steep hill during the UK Half Ironman a few years ago and started going past a London banker. We started chatting about how hard the run leg was and he said he'd rather be watching cricket. I turned up my nose, and he said "Cricket is the greatest game in the world." LOL. Oh, well, to each his own.... If lots of pain isn't involved, I don't know how it can be called a sport. 🙂 Maybe that's what the Taliban were thinking too!

Lots of pain IS involved. Cricket season is around the corner for me and in one week you stop feeling your hands. The hard leather ball gives u bruises very quickly. And batting against a fast bowler is a nightmare. They aim at your ribs and I was lucky to not have broken any last season. It's not as rough as football but there is potential for seriously injury.

In hockey, you might get speared, tackled when you're not ready for it or get a real beating.

It's the only mans game there is except US football without the kevlar shield, what is that called again... oh yeah, rugby. 😉
 
5 policemen were killed trying to defend the bus. Salutes to them. We have brave policemen unlike some other countries who lose hundreds of civilians before being able to do anything.
