I read the sticky, but still a little confused.
My mother board now has a 24pin connection on it, but a 20 pin connector going into it and then 4 pin connect near the cpu.
My new PSU has a 24pin connector.
Do I plug in the new PSU 24pin connector to MB but dont reconnect the 4pin connector near the CPU?

ok i reread the sticky, and see that the extra for pins is for PCI-E NOT THE CPU.
So, I can just connect the 24pin psu to the 24pin connection on MB, even though current psu has 20 pin on it now.

right, 24pin psu connects to the 24 pin MB connector, and still plug in the 4-pin connector near the CPU

Cool, just wanted to make sure that the extra 4pins wasnt inplace of the 4pin cpu connector, took me second time to understand it.
This is my first upgrade, along with 1gig of ram and 6800gs video card.
Saved so much money building good performer and what i wanted than buying a good gaming pc from alienware or whoever.
