Squirrel Vs Cat

This squirrel has been taunting my cat for months. Alfred goes crazy, and so does the squirrel, when they see each other. The squirrel just stays on the tree and almost barks at my cat. This goes on for about an hour until my cat gets sleepy and goes to my computer to sleep.

Alfred is about a year five months old. The greatest cat to ever live, I say!

I always let my cat onto the balcony. He has never once thought of jumping. He's a strictly indoor cat with the exception of the balcony. He doesn't have his claws and I think he's a little pansy to try going out onto the tree. Myself and my roommate have accidently left him out on the balcony before and he hasn't jumped or anything. He actually has a lot of fun out there looking at lizards, bees and of course squirrels and birds.

well....we got 2 kittens so we decidied to leave the kitty litter on the balcony...all was cool until one day one of them was gone, and now we only have 1 kitty 🙁

sounds like your cat is a pussy.

My old cat, Duce, would bring home at least 1 squirrel a week - not to mention all the voles, mice, rabbits, snakes and small dogs he bagged...

My dog does the same thing. We have a storm door that's one big screen (or one big glass insert). There's a tree out front with some bird feeders on it and my dog will lay in front of the door staring at the squirrels for hours. It's great when we let her out and the squirrel runs like hell to get away.

Lol, a pussy he is. Everyone that plays with the cat tells me he is spoiled, and that he definately is. I can't leave the room that he's in without him running after me. If I do close the door you can hear him crying and pawing at the door. Poor fella!

They are still going at it from each side of the sliding glass door.

My cats left squirrel "parts" in the garage today...
a severed leg and a tail... all thats left of whatever they where playing with...
kittens too less than 3 months old...already catching squirrels...

The links work for me.
So the cat won't leave the balcony and bum rush the squirrel ?
My cat would pounce on that rodent and throw down.
I am suprised your cat stays put, thats uncatlike.

We have a cat around here, a neighbor's, hes a outdoor cat. He always comes over here, and sits on the chairs outside and just watches us. Him and a squirel are like best friends LOL, they walk up to each other, no problem. However that cats friend comes around and their running circles around the yard.

heh, if he had his claws he would be owning that squirrel.

Hey guys, the pictures seem to be working again. I have no clue what happened. I have addaction.net for hosting and I haven't really been happy with them. Good thing it was relatively cheap.

Durring Hurricane Francis our power went out for a few days, nearly 4 to be exact. Well the property was absolutely flooded! We had 8-12 inches of water covering the entire property. Luckily no water got into the fraternity house but realize that we literally had to wade through 30+ feet of knee deep water to get to dry land from our house. Anyways, so on the second day we were starting to burn up from no AC so we kept the sliding glass door open. My roommate and I left to go to a hurricane party. We come back an hour later and open the front door. I walk in and see my car running around the table. It wasn't like a full blast run or antyhing, but more like a trot. Then I noticed why he was doing this. There was a little squirrel that he was sniffing. They weren't doing anything violent just sniffing each other. Apparently the little guy came for shelter. Unfortunately this story doesn't have a good ending. My roommate and I tried to catch him because it appeared that his front paw was hurt. At first he really didn't mind us but once we tried to catch him he scurried on to the balcony and then jumped to the tree. I figured, "Oh well, I guess he's alright afterall".

The next morning we are all hanging out outside in the water, throwing the football and such. I go to get the football right under my balcony and I find the little guy at the bottom of the water. It was really sad, actually. But I guess it was his time, ya know. 🙁 🙁 🙁 Poor guy.

I thought the pictures were going to be of a cat with a dead squirrel in its mouth. I'm disappointed.
