Didn't end well for the squirrel (I am guessing because of laws intended to favour the red variety?)
There is no happy ending. The RSPCA said it had no choice but to put Stripe down as it is illegal to release a grey squirrel back into the wild.

Too bad they had to kill it, but the grays are apparently a huge issue in the UK as they are aggressive and are displacing the red ones. Here we only get the red ones and down south they have black ones too. The black ones are huge, they're like cats.
 
They have black squirrels in Iowa as well, but AFAIK they're the same as the grey squirrels in the area, just a different color.

Never seen/heard of an "aggressive" grey squirrel in my entire life (at least until that article!) and they are extremely common around here. (Connecticut)
 
Since the RSPCA used a Claymore (triggered by a wired walnut) plus an H&K MP5K, there wasn't much left of the squirrel. OK. That's how they do it in Texas. Will read article now.

Notice how the squirrel uses stealth to sneak behind the man. He also uses cover to shield his escape after the attack. In the past they would go after the nuts but this one was trying to take down a full size human. This is worrying because it means they can learn and are organized.

I can't seem to find the video but I remember seeing one where a squirrel got in the house and the dog was chasing it and it caused a huge racket in the house. Super hilarious, like something you'd see in a cartoon.
 
We will find them and we will kill them, or at least make them look really silly.

That's just wrong. But so was Amy Winehouse. That's probably her. If you have more bad karma than good, you have to come back as a "lower" life form. Don't worry Amy. I'm sure someone will eat you soon enough. So I have to ask. Have you been a good squirrel?

Run! Save yourselves. It's a demon squirrel! I think if you feed them they'll let you make a pact with Satan. Not as tight with Old Nick as black cats but that's the upside of being a witch's familiar.

Seriously though, look at those claws. You know he wants to eat your soul.
