Linkin Park, Alice In Chains also set for Epicenter 2009

Tool, Linkin Park, Alice In Chains and Wolfmother are among the bands set to headline the very first Epicenter Festival, set to take place in Southern California this summer.

The annual festival will be held on August 22 at the Fairplex in Pomona, California.

Also on the bill for the inaugural festival are Atmosphere, Hollywood Undead, Atreyu, Tom Morello's Street Sweeper Social Club, Aesop Rock and Sonny. Additional bands are expected to be added to the bill in the coming weeks.

This will be Linkin Park's only North American tour date this year, according to frontman Chester Bennington. It will also feature Wolfmother's new lineup.

Tickets for Tool at the arena here in Manchester NH went on sale on Friday. If I hadn't already bought tix for 2 other concerts (while jobless), I would've loved to have seen them.

TOOL is one of the few awesome bands that has actually bothered to come to New Zealand. Saw them live a few years ago from the front row, it was sweet. Was on the Lateralus tour but they played plenty of old stuff too.

I only care to see Tool, Alice In Chains, and Tom Morello's Street Sweeper Social Club. I've only heard one song from Morello's new bad and I liked it.
