last night i was just listening to music (at normal levels) on my logitech z-560's and all of a sudden i heard this REALLY loud but short squeal (only about .5 secs). completely scared the hell out of me... then i noticed my right rear channel wasnt working.... i checked the speaker and it still works, so i checked the jack on the back of the sub with a multimeter and its completely dead:disgust::| now i gotta spend the $30+ shipping it back to CA to get it replaced... im gonna be in serious withdrawl...:|

a power surge is possible... but then again, its plugged into a surge protector and it only killed one channel...

it was lateralus🙂

yeah... sucks even more that i gotta shell out $30 to send em back for repair/replacement, but thankfully logitech has a 2 year warrantee so i dont have to pay for the repairs 🙂 the only speakers i have to use till i get mine back are some crappy non-powered speakers 🙁 its gonna be a loooong week...

THIRTY DOLLARS!!? :disgust::Q There has got to be much cheaper way than that, otherwise beds and furnitures'd cost like $1,000 to ship. Who did you get a $30 quote from? If that's UPS I'd ship USPS percel instead. They charge less, more conveneient and from my experience, takes better care of packages.

PS: FedEx is actually cheaper than USPS. $20 for 30lbs package coast-to-coast
