update:

so they emailed me today regarding my complaints. they said: "...for the time being, we will inform our customer that we will be removing the make an offer link from their website. If you have further questions or concerns, just let us know. We would be happy to provide further assistance."

i then looked at the website and the make an offer link was already gone :Q

the "customer" is pretty damn fast.

i responded by explaining that i know that their customer claim is bull (reiterating several points in the previous email to them, points they didn't understand) and requested the phone number of their legal department. my goal? i'm not sure. however, i want to try scare tactics. :p

Ok guys question here.... I have heard that squatting is illegal, where is more info on this? My g/f had a domain for a buisness, and they company she was using messed up and didnt renew, so it got ganked. How someone is just squatting on it, and told her they want $1000.

 for you

yes it is that name ;)

not sure what i'll do with it... maybe put up random things. can't use it for email as it's still on spamming blacklists :(

i actually wasn't informed that the big guy was going to give up the domain name. i simply checked this morning, and all of the sudden, despite it being "recently" registered (early this month), it was suddenly available.

i emailed them twice with the same email telling them that "i haven't heard from you. i emphasize once again that i'd like to speak with your legal department" (with the original email forwarded). i guess that's what did it.

Dulanic: you have a case there. you may want your girlfriend to consult with a lawyer.
