SQ2500 problem, I think??????

I am having problems with my soundcard, I think anyways. I have a duron 600, Asus A7v, 128mb kingmax, Geforce 2MX, Aureal SQ2500, and a 30.7 gig IBM drive. When I play mp3's or get into a game after a few minutes, sometimes longer, my puter freezes. Locks up. After reset everything is fine until I try to play sound again, even systems sounds will do it. I have the latest drivers for the sound card, I got form Vortex of sound, the latest mobo drivers from Asus, the only thing I haven't tried it to flash the bios with the latest version. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
 
Yeah, its very likely an IRQ conflict problem. I had the same thing with my MX300(Vortex2 audio chip also). Fixed the problem by manually re-arranging the PCI card order
