Spyware Kazaa !!

I installed Kazaa and then began a series of unwanted pop-ups. I got to know that Gain was installed with kazaa. Tried to uninstall it but the damm thing says that kazaa will stop working if I do that. Is the spyware sending out all my information ? How safe is checking mails or online banking etc (passwords) ?

The spyware with Kazaa shouldn't collect your passwords or banking info... but why not just avoid the whole nuisance anyway? Uninstall Kazaa, run Adaware/Spybot SD, then install Kazaa Lite.
