Spyware.ISpynow Virus

This problem is with a customers computer who complained that he couldn't access the Internet.
When he runs Internet Explorer Google tries to load then a new screen appears overlaying the Google screen stating that he needs to purchase virus software to fix the problem.
When he tried to run Spybot - Search % Destroy it will not start.
I tried to remove Spybot and reinstall the latest version. It installed OK, however when Clicking on the Icon the program never runs. Evidently the virus is preventing Spybot from running

The screens appear legit but evidently its a come-on to get him to purchase an antivirus program.

Windows Defender appears with the following message:

Spyware.ISpynow
This is a virus that records keystrokes, takes screen shots of your computer, stealing financial information.

Has anyone experienced this virus, how do you get rid of it?

I had this. I had to go under my device manager, show hidden device from under the view menu, and disable some TDSSserv.sys under non plug and play. once I did this, I was able to run malwarebytes and clean my pc.
