SpyWare Doctor

Any of you guys using and having problems with it?

PC Tools(Maker) have been very responsive to my problem of not being able to shut down in a normal manner, my XP Home computer. But no fix yet.

I have 3.8 on several systems, and I have not experienced shut down issues. However if you go into the Spyware Doctor startup settings and disable it to start with windows, do you still have a shut down issue?

John I have tried that but still had the same problem. Uninstall and reinstall a couple of times. I had no problems with the 3.5 version.
I am wondering now about it's compatibility with Norton AntiVirus 2006, that I am running. I do know if you have the protection for the Norton program box checked, it will not let the restore in XP work. Only took a month to get that figured out.
PC Tools tech people have acknowledged that they have a problem. I am not the only one with the problem is what I read in their emails to me. Be patient and they have extended my subscription already.

Thanks for your reply,

John, I saw that on the wife's laptop I am on now. Program not on this computer. I am waiting on Western Digital to get me a replacement HD for the one that crashed on my desktop that I had SpyDoctor on.

I have all the info for the desktop on a external HD but am trying to figure out what to do first, when the drive gets here. Too much tech crap for an old Dummy like me!! I don't have a clue right now. Trying to figure out what and how Norton Ghost 10's, "Recovery Envirement" means and works.
Thanks for the heads up!
