What are some good free spyware and adware removal programs?

My experience is that the MS AntiSpyware has a tendency to kill your system though.

I've only used the first two; I haven't touched Microsoft's antispyware stuff. I also use the standalone version of CWShredder to eliminate or at least cripple CoolWebSearch infections.
