dang, that thing is going to have so much weight up front that it won't be able to turn worth a crap.

Tell that to the Dodge Viper, Ferrari 575M, Corvette, 540i, M5...I could go on and on

The IS is already a pretty light car anyway.

The weight bias may not be affected all that much - I believe the I-6 in the IS300 has an iron block, and the 4.3L V-8 is aluminum. God knows BMW has done well enough in sports-car racing with their V-8-powered M3. I still find the IS cars a bit frumpy in styling, but this thing should really move.

I can hear the Bavarians now: "Okay, so we got Audi sticking a 350hp V8 in their S4 and we got Lexus sticking a 320hp V8 in their IS. Who do they think we are? They want a piece of us, so let's stick it to them: try a 400hp V8 on for size biatches!" I am of course referring to the 400hp next-gen M3.

thank you for a reasoned reply.

as we all know, the accord's steering is thrown off quite a bit by the v6. throwing a v8 into it would be worse. you're right, the aluminum should help the IS quite a bit.

Well what do you expect, the Accord is FWD so all the drive train gear is up front hanging over the front axel along with all the steering gear. FWD + heavy engine = bad. RWD alleviates that problem somewhat.

Too bad it's still fugly. LOL.

LOL, this coming from a guy that said that the new Sunfire looks OK. Thanks for the laugh:p

As long as it can handle should be a sweet car.

But, I still want a flying car! Where are all these flying cars they promised us in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and now?!?!? :p

mmmm nice. I'd still rather have an M3 of course but an IS430 would be pretty cool too.
